Premiership Betting: Review of weekend's top TV Premiership games

Actual results posted in Red

Charlton v Portsmouth (12.45pm; Saturday; Prem Plus).
Amazing to think that Portsmouth have not let a goal in this season and that a win in this fixture against Charlton will see them top of the Premiership! However Charlton are no forlorn hopes at all. They only just gave best to Chelsea and they beat Portsmouth in both of last season's clashes.

Betting selection: Portsmouth are a best price 2/1 in the premiership betting with Bet365 for this clash with the draw 9/4 and Charlton at 13/10. Ladbrokes are longest about Charlton at 8/5. But we think Bet365's offer of 2/1 about Portsmouth is very tempting.
RESULT: Charlton 0 Portsmouth 1

Chelsea v Liverpool (1.30pm; Sunday; Sky Sports 1)
Liverpool have got off to a very shaky start to the campaign. Everton beat them last week but at least they managed not to conceded against PSV this week. It is a big ask to expect the Reds to get a result in Chelsea's back yard and remember this game last season saw Chelsea score a comfortable, if bad-tempered, 2-0 triumph.

Betting selection: Again it is Bet365 who have taken a view and they are longest on Chelsea at 5/6. BetDirect's 4/1 are the odds to take if you fancy Liverpool to come out on top. The draw is longest with VCbet (Victor Chandler bookmaker) at 12/5. We say avail yourself at Bet365 - 5/6 is quite generous premiership betting for Chelsea at home to a Liverpool team that has question marks over its form.
RESULT: Chelsea 1 Liverpool 0

Manchester Utd v Arsenal (4pm; Sunday; Sky Sports 1)
Arsenal have had a shocking start to the season and in what is traditionally a mouth-watering fixture, we expect in-form Man Utd to dominate. That said, Man U are without their player of the season so far - Ryan Giggs. But with the likes of Ronaldo, Saha and the boy wonder Rooney, Arsenal have it to do. After all The Gooners have not won yet this season and this is not the fixture that is likely to see that change. A draw would be a good result for them.

Betting selection: Once again Bet365 has decided to lay the favourites in their premiership betting for this match. Their 10/11 about Man United winning is the bet we fancy most. If you fancy Arsenal for an upset then Betfred's 100/30 has to be taken. Bet365 are also longest, with Betfred, at 9/4 about the draw.
RESULT: Man Utd 0 Arsenal 1
