The last showpiece occasion of the domestic European season takes place at Munich’s Allianz Arena on Saturday night (8pm). Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan do battle in the Champions League final after making it through the competition’s new format.
PSG walked away with their domestic division, winning Ligue 1 by a full 19 points from closest challengers Marseille. In Italy, Inter were narrowly beaten into second place in Serie A by champions Napoli but a thrilling win over Barcelona in the UCL semi-finals should give them confidence coming into Saturday.

PSG are the favourites to win in 90 minutes, with many outlets offering 6/5 on head coach Luis Enrique and his side. The draw at the end of normal time is the next option at best industry odds of 12/5, while a win for Inter Milan is on offer at a top price of 5/2.
Those figures are for the result in 90 minutes, and there is a separate ‘To Lift the Trophy’ market for the final. Here, PSG are available at a general 4/7 while Inter are out at 13/8.
It’s fair to say that Paris Saint-Germain peaked as the competition wore on. After suffering three defeats in eight games during the league phase, the French side had to progress through the playoffs. Inter were more comfortable, finishing in fourth place after eight league fixtures.
Since then, PSG have beaten Brest in the playoffs, before overcoming three English sides – Liverpool, Aston Villa and Arsenal. Inter’s task has been tougher and, after beating Feyenoord in the Round of 16, they came through against European giants Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
Based on results from the competition so far, this could be a tight contest and it may well need extra time to separate the sides.
In the post-Neymar era, Ousmane Dembele is PSG’s key striker, and he is the favourite to open the scoring in Munich. The French international has eight Champions League goals already this season and he is quoted at a best of 5/1 for the first goal.
Dembele’s teammate Goncalo Ramos is next at 6/1, while Inter’s Lautaro Martinez carries the shortest odds for his side at 13/2. Martinez has nine UCL goals this season, and opened the scoring in the second leg of the semi against Barca.
Other options from the first goalscorer markets include Khvicha Kvaratskhelia at 15/2, Marko Arnautovic at 8/1 and Marcus Thuram at 17/2. Thuram scored first in the first leg of that Inter vs Barcelona semi.
Away from player markets, Both Teams to Score is on offer for Saturday’s final at best odds of 3/4, but if you prefer to bet ‘no’ on BTTS, this lifts to 23/20.
Over in the total goals markets, a stake Over the 2.5 line will currently be met at a general 10/11. Lifting that to Over 3.5 goals takes the odds to 12/5. Anyone expecting a quiet first 90 minutes at the Allianz Arena can claim a best of 10/11 to go Under the 2.5 goal line.
That leaves us with a look at some Correct Score options. If you’re going with the favourites here, a 2-1 win for PSG is quoted at 8/1. The same scoreline in favour of Inter Milan is available at 11/1, while the 2-2 draw is further back at 12/1.
Champions League Final Betting Tips Verdict
It’s always tough to assess two sides from different European Leagues. The teams didn’t meet in the league phase, so we have no head to head results to consider. PSG won their domestic division by some margin, but it can be successfully argued that Ligue 1 is much weaker than Serie A.
It should be a tight game, and the final may well need extra time and, potentially, a penalty shootout to separate the clubs. Neutral fans will be hoping for a repeat of the entertaining football produced in Inter’s semi-final with Barcelona. The teams delivered 13 goals in the two games, in a memorable display of attacking football.
The final might be more cagey with much more at stake but, as the underdogs, we expect Inter to play on the front foot once again. Simone Inzaghi’s men scored 79 goals in Serie A this season, more than any other side. Ultimately, conceding 35 at the back cost them the title.
Inter have been productive in the Champions League too, and we think this will be another high scorer.
