Yes, you did read that headline right! One bookie is offering dual Arc heroine Treve at enhanced odds of 3/1 just to place – the normal odds would be 1/5 (Race: 2.55pm on Sunday at Longchamp racecourse, live on CH4 TV).
She has won it the last two years and goes for an unprecedented third win on the trot in Europe’s foremost horse race, the Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe.
However Ladbrokes are taking the opportunity to swell their customer numbers by offering this wager, that may well cost them plenty too. Treve is currently 4/5 just to win the race and land her historic hat-trick in the 1m4f race.
This is the summary of this enhanced odds deal:
- 3/1 Treve to finish in the first 3 in the Arc.
- £10 Maximum bet only.
- New customers only.
- Additional winnings are given as free bets.
Can Treve Win The Arc?
Treve certainly looks a real good thing to place in the Arc, so Ladbrokes offer above seems pretty fantastic. However there is some stiff opposition in against her for the win.
Treve is unbeaten in three runs this season, which is a better profile than she took into the Arc last year before running away with her second success in the £4m horse race.
Her main rivals look to be English Derby winner Golden Horn and the impressive French Derby victor New Bay. Both these colts will have their supporters and they are the second and third favourites for the race.
One outsider we like the look of on the drying ground is Erupt (33/1), who could run a bigger race than his odds suggest.
However the best bet by a mile has to be Ladbrokes enhanced odds of 3/1 for Treve purely to place in the race.
