Gala Bingo has been giving us some very unpleasant experiences recently. There have been a heap of player complaints and they have ripped off many business partners. We recommend you avoid Gala Bingo as our trust in them to do a proper job for their customers has been destroyed. Looking for an honest bingo site? Join one of these bingo sites instead. Ignore our Gala Bingo review below as it needs updating to this latest status.
Many operations claim to be among the UK’s leading providers but Gala Bingo really is the number one name, our review can reveal. Five million people have already signed up as members either at their online site or at the numerous bricks and mortar clubs. High ticket sales mean extremely big prizes and that has led to around £14 million being offered in bingo prizes each week online alone.
They know exactly what you are looking for – big prizes, lots of games and plenty of excitement along the way. It really is a club, adhering to the same principles as their spots on the high street. It is a safe, friendly place to enjoy playing for massive prizes.
The entertainment includes not just every type of bingo you could possibly want but many other entertaining games, 24 hours per day, every single day of the week. You will find slots with huge jackpots, themed scratch cards with £1,000 prizes and games ranging from Friar Luck’ s, a type of video poker with a distinctively medieval flavour, to Deal or No Deal, a game that mimics the popular television programme.
There is also a game called Bingo Fever, an instant numbers game where you will not have to wait for the room to fill up. You will also find a variety of roulette games to choose from including Euro roulette, Classic roulette, 3 Wheel roulette, Double and Triple Bonus spin roulette and Global roulette.
Our review believes that this online site will not let you down, whenever you want to have a game and whatever you want to play.
About: Owned by Gala Coral Group, the premier gaming operator in Europe which is manned by over 16,500 staff. It has sizeable online businesses in the bingo, bookmaking and casino markets as well as a significant high street presence. It was the first company to receive complete GamCare accreditation for all areas of its gambling business in the UK and has been fully accredited since 2004. This is a site that you can totally trust.
Spend £10 & Get £30: New players are now being offered the equivalent of a 300% Sign Up Bonus. Spend a tenner on bingo tickets and receive £30 as a welcome bonus.
As always, there are terms and conditions attached to this bonus. We will outline them here but please check their website for the latest details in case anything changes. Whatever the size of your initial deposit, you are obliged to spend it all within 30 days of making it. Do not forget to make sure that you spend your deposit in the games specified as qualifying for the bonus. There are no shortage of games that apply so that should not inconvenience you. The bonus you will receive cannot be withdrawn as cash.
£5 No Deposit Bonus: If you prefer, and JustBookies reckons most people would prefer this offer, then claim a fiver no deposit bonus. Please ensure you read the terms and conditions on the landing page that link goes to. That way you will know how best to benefit from the no deposit bonus and when it will be paid into your Gala Bingo account.
200 Free Spins on £10 Deposit: Get 200 spins on Gladiator Jackpot if you deposit £10. This is an alternative option for new players to the ‘no deposit bonus’ and other offers above.
Jackpots: You would expect the UK’s biggest name to offer substantial jackpots and you will not be disappointed. Over £2million pounds has been won in a single win in Megajackpots. Alice’s Wonderland has yielded a jackpot of over £650K and that jackpot is won on just over a monthly basis. The same can be said of Leprechaun’s Luck which has an average of just 39 days between each win.
This Gala Bingo review recommends you check out the size of jackpots and the regularity with which they are won before deciding to commit to a particular game. You just have to click on the Jackpots tab to get full details of what is on offer and how often lucky players can expect to see the jackpot won.
If you want to go for a jackpot that is won frequently, Cash Climber is won on average around every ten days but that does not mean that the jackpot is a small one. The biggest win to date was over £150K. In contrast the Megajackpot is only won once in over three years. It could be a life changer but do not be disappointed if it does not instantly come your way.
If you like to aim for a jackpot that is won every couple of days there are plenty to choose from. City Super Spotlight is won every two days and has yielded nearly £10K in a single win. High5 is won just as often has reached over £7K so you should not have to wait very long before you see the jackpot won.
Security: As you would expect from the UK’s biggest name in bingo, security is first class. Their security practices and the technology that underpins them have been thoroughly checked and approved by two of the biggest names in online security, Verisign and BT Trustwise. All your personal information is automatically encrypted. If security is a major concern for you, you can read all the details by clicking on the Terms and Conditions link at the foot of the page and clicking on Security.
Review Summary & Opinion: It is a great bingo site that offers players superb entertainment as well as fantastic prizes. The site is easy to use and always comes highly recommended by its players. The various sign-up bonuses are attractive, but you can only choose one of them. The whole website is managed with the sort of professionalism you would expect from such a huge and long established company. In conclusion, this JustBookies exclusive and independent review gives Gala Bingo a gigantic thumbs up.

I have also been a victim of Gala Bingo. On winning a substantial amount of money on Gala Bingo side bets, I decided to withdraw my winnings. Gala Bingo froze my account and prevented me from doing so. On contact, they claimed 'a technical error on side bets' and said they would get back to me. After several emails, I opened a dispute with Resolver. When they did get back to me their response was the worst example of customer service I have ever experienced! They have accused me of dishonest, fraudulent behaviour - for the crime of winning! They also took my winnings and permanently closed my account.
Extracts from the email: "We discovered that an internal messaging error caused individual side bet wins to be credited to the player account multiple times accidentally. This would have been apparent to you when checking the balance and credits to your account. We have now recovered any wrongly calculated winnings and cancelled any incorrect withdrawals. This is in line with our standard Terms & Conditions which you can refer to here."
"Upon further investigation of your account, we believe that your pattern of play has exploited this error in game and attempted incorrect withdrawal amounts. As a result, we have made the decision to permanently close your account and if applicable returned your initial deposit amount back to you."
I did indeed win several times in a row - I have also lost several times in a row. I did attempt to withdraw my winnings - I'm not sure why this would also be considered dishonest? Gala Bingo appears to be profiling their customers. If you win and plough the money back in they leave you alone. If you win and try to withdraw your winnings - you are not the kind of customer they want. They seize the money and permanently block you from their site. Based on reviews I've seen, the letter I received appears to be company policy.
We are not wealthy people, the money would be useful to us. This aside, my husband and I are both military veterans. Honour, the rule of law and respect for others - rules that we live by. To smear me like this, calling me dishonest is just a disgusting lie.
Based on the reviews left by others, I'm not expecting much from IBAS. If you too have been a victim of Gala Bingo I recommend doing what I have done. I have:
Contacted my local MP.
Contacted BBC Watchdog.
Contacted Joe Lycett, got your back.
Gala Bingo is registered in Gibraltar - If IBAS does nothing I will try the Gibraltar version.
This is not a complete list. I'm a long way from done. I'm going to shine a big light on what Gala Bingo have been doing.
On a side note - Gala bingo couldn't even be bothered to check they were emailing the correct customer. I have also received emails from them for other customers. Either they can't be bothered or are incompetent. I think it's a bit of both. My next step will be the small claims court.
We advise you contact the UK Gambling Commission as well. UKGC are useless and don't care, which is why the firms are so corrupt, but do copy them in on everything. They licence Gala Bingo in the UK, so maybe you can challenge that licence. Note: Betfred Casino lost a UK High Court case this month when refusing to pay a big winner. That precedent might help.
I played at Gala Bingo for many years and had to stop as the whole thing has fallen apart. The mods are rude and aggressive, the payouts are now slow and need chasing. The site keeps having glitches. All the same names win all the time, which suggests to me the prizes are now rigged. The summary of my Gala Bingo review would be: stay away.
I joined through this page and I am glad I read it all as there are three different welcome bonus offers to choose from. Not surprisingly I went with the No Deposit Bonus. A fiver for nothing is not too shabby.
I like gala bingo. their bingo rooms are fun because of the live chats and the games can be cheap so you can play lots of them! haven't won big yet but fingers crossed 🙂 x
Not a bad site. I started using Gala Bingo online because I had been in their high street bingo halls. This is more convenient and just as fun.
