Mecca Bingo Review – Not Recommended

Last updated November 23rd, 2022

Mecca Bingo ReviewWe no longer recommend Mecca Bingo. There have been too many complaints about the sloppy service they offer players and we simply can’t justify the recommendation any longer. Join Bet365 Bingo instead, as in our opinion they offer the best bingo site available. Leave your experience of Mecca Bingo at the bottom of this page and read other people’s reviews of that site.

Mecca Bingo is a moderate site for online bingo fans of all levels of experience, our review can reveal. They offer a range of bingo, slots and games too. For bingo players, there are large jackpots, seven days a week. You don’t have to wait for the weekend to play for a hefty cash sum. You can even try virtual horse and dog racing with them.

They are proud of their chat functionality and their chat masters. However clouds have gathered concerning this site, notably the level of player complaints, some of which is voiced at the bottom of this review by its players.

If you have not already heard of them, they are one of the biggest operators in the UK. They have been at the forefront of the bingo market since the early 1960s with their high street halls. In addition to an average online offering there are still numerous clubs throughout the UK. So they have a lot of experience but remember that “experience” can just mean doing things badly for a long time.

This company is a serious player with over 3,000 employees dedicated to looking after their members. Over 5 million people are already players there. They are owned by one of the largest names in the leisure industry, Rank Group PLC. Rank also own Grosvenor Casinos. Mecca Bingo is fully licensed by and is regulated by rules of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. This is a neat way to save on paying tax to HMRC. In this day and age this type of loophole use should not be happening.

Sign up bonuses and promotions

£30 of Bonuses: An unimpressive offer – they will give you £30 when your very first deposit is a tenner or more (in non-withdrawable cash). They call this ‘Spend £10, Play With £40’. The minimum initial deposit is just £5 but to get this 300% bonus you need to deposit a tenner. There is a 2 x wagering requirement and that is a major bind. Additionally, do check their terms and conditions because we have not listed every single one in this Mecca Bingo review.

Ongoing Bonuses: For regular players there are other promotions. They range from BOGOF (Buy One Get One Free) 75 ball games on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to special seasonally driven games with large cash jackpots which may include a total of £75,000 in just four hours. There are also 1TG (One to Go) and 2TG games and regular games with a Bingo Bonus Points scheme. You can even do your bit for charity whilst playing. In the first week of the month, 40p of every £1 spent on bingo tickets in the Two Little Ducks room is donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

About the website

The Mecca Bingo website is fairly reliable, well structured and consequently easy to navigate around. They make it easy for you to play bingo, slots or games on this website. The styling is distinctively retro and may have been inspired by a traditional bingo card. It is a bit crass but some players may enjoy this clichéd lack of sophistication.

The profusion of pink is a bit much. Approximately 75% of registrations are women but not all women love pink! Though we know some men do. The numerous pictures of ladies in rapturous ‘I’ve just won’ type poses can be a bit wearing too. They are obviously keen to dispel the myth that bingo is for the more mature woman. The women depicted are relatively young, attractive and fashionably dressed – our review of the site could find no great aunt lookalikes here.

Play anywhere

Once you have joined up, you can play any time, wherever you are with their mobile app. The app can be downloaded free of charge and gives you access to the same prizes and jackpots and 90-Ball Bingo rooms that are available when you play online. Existing clients can simply login with their usual details. New customers can follow the easy mobile registration steps to start playing.

Safety and Security

It offers the basic levels of security for players. If you are concerned about your personal details being shared with other companies within the Rank Group, provided you tick the appropriate box, apparently you will not be troubled by unwanted communications from other companies within the group. Let’s hope so.

Review Summary & Conclusion

The concerning aspect of this site is the many player reviews regarding the difficulty of withdrawing funds. The accusation by some is that they get you to jump through hoops and hope you simply give up so they keep your money. This is described fully in the player review section below.

Other smaller issues are that it may not be the most visually appealing site, unless you adore pink. The bonuses for new players come with rollover requirements which can make them hard to achieve. So in reality the headline offer comes with some serious conditions attached. They offer poor customer service and the whole thing leaves us wondering is you can really trust them with your money. So in a nutshell our Mecca Bingo review gives a big thumbs down to the online version of the famous high street brand. What do you think . . .

Mecca Bingo Scam

The following is a description of how the mecca bingo scam works. This pretend bingo site sent me a promo of free spins or bonus which will require a deposit of £10 or £20. Then when i won a little bit i decided to withdraw some of my winnings. Now they pretended to ask for another id verify process to try and stop my cash withdrawal request. After many emails they passed my id verification. Now i tried to make a debit card withdrawal with my registered bank debit card and they blocked this and pretended that it was the banks fault. Now they told me to register another bank debit card by making another deposit with it , thus giving them more of my money. I now tried to use my second bank debit card to make a cash withdrawal and they also blocked this pretending again that it was the second banks fault. They now sent me a promo offering many free spins in order to tempt me / bribe me not to withdraw my money. I now asked them to make a bank transfer to my first bank account and again they asked for an id verify bank statement. After that they pretended to make a 5 day bank transfer and then pretended that it did not work because the bank would not accept their transfer. They now sent me another promo offering a free £5 bonus in order to tempt me / bribe me not to withdraw my money. I then asked them to do a transfer to my second bank account and again they did their pretend routine by asking for another id verify bank statement. They then pretended to make another 5 day bank transfer and then pretended that it did not work because the bank would not accept their transfer. They now asked me to make another deposit using my paypal account in order to register it and then they could pretend to try to make another transfer to my paypal account. I said no to being scammed for more deposit money so that they could pretend that my paypal transfer did not work. Do you see how pretend scam gaming sites like mecca bingo have you held in a blackmail position from the moment that you make your first deposit which they use to try to keep blackmailing the customer. All of this scam required more than 40 back and forth emails to them. The whole process is a " steal the customers money game ".
We use the above processes because we trust them with our money and then we find out that they are nothing more than common thieves pretending to be a gaming site. We the people have to show you this scam here because there is no corrupt free gaming control organisation which protects the people from this type of scam. It is now 52 days and counting since this mecca bingo cash withdraw scam started on 1 october 2022. All this content is verified in the mecca bingo emails to me. Scam websites like Mecca Bingo are doing great damage to the image of the gaming industry. Never use or deposit money to scam websites like meccabingo.com. In my next post I will show you copies of emails from the Mecca Bingo scam.

Awful customer service

They are so big that they don’t care if you complain. I figured these sites out first off and excluded the sites, not because I have a gambling problem but because they are a complete waste of time and money. I would not use Mecca or Lucky Pants bingo sites ever again. I play on a much better site now and don’t look back at all.

Mecca Bingo Rubbish

An abysmal bingo site that is horribly managed. Customer service is sloppy, the whole bingo site has become lazy. No fun anymore. Has really gone down the drain.

I really like the play £10 and get £40 to play with bonus that Mecca Bingo gave me when I deposited a tenner when I joined them. I have literally had hours of fun with this. Such an entertaining site to be a part of. I have racked my brain cell to come up with a negative to give some balance to this mini Mecca Bingo review, but I can't think of anything. From deposit to withdrawal and with all the different play options, it's all good.

Fun at Mecca

I started using their online Mecca Bingo after going to one of their normal bingo halls. Really impressed by how slick, fun and easy it is.
